Disabled Sports USA (DSUSA) has a 49-year track record for accomplishing ambitious goals by managing programs efficiently. This year, DSUSA achieved an overall, combined administrative and fundraising expense rate of 11.7%, a fraction of the amount deemed outstanding by Charity Navigator and the American public.
DSUSA undergoes multiple financial and compliance audits each year and consistently receives unqualified reports. DSUSA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and donations are 100% tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Being financially responsible means having nothing to hide. Our level of transparency and accountability exceeds industry standards. GuideStar has awarded Disabled Sports USA its Platinum Seal, their highest rating for nonprofit transparency.
Research has since confirmed the power that sports can have for people with disabilities. A Harris Interactive research study of more than 1,000 adults with disabilities showed that those participating in Disabled Sports USA adaptive sports programs had higher employment rates, were happier and enjoyed higher socialization than those not participating in adaptive sports.
