Does your organization run an adaptive cycling program? Do you use cycling as a form of recreation therapy for your patients with disabilities? Whether you are an experienced service provider or just starting out, this conference will teach you the ins and outs of adaptive cycling– from maintenance and modifications, to  successful tips on organizing an adaptive cycling program. Thanks to hands-on instruction from industry leaders, you’ll learn how to safely and successfully use adaptive cycling for therapy, sport, and fun.
Who: Chapters of Disabled Sports USA, VA and military therapeutic professionals, and other members of the adaptive sports industry. Registration is first-come, first-serve and limited to 50 individuals. Organizations are limited to two attendees per facility/chapter.
What: Two full days of hands-on adaptive cycling training from some of the nation’s best adaptive cycling professionals. In addition to cycling, we’ll feature a half-day Para-Badminton demonstration. Full conference agenda and session descriptions coming soon.
Where: All conference sessions will take place at the National Ability Center in Park City, UT. Participants will be staying at the NAC. Lodging and meals are included with registration.
When: Attendees will arrive on Sunday, September 18 for a welcome reception. Conference sessions will take place on Monday, September 19 and Tuesday, September 20,  with participants departing either Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning, September 21. Airport shuttles will be provided from Salt Lake City International airport to the NAC on Sunday, and from the hotel to the airport on Wednesday morning.
Fees: The Adapt2Achieve conference series is offered free of charge to chapters of Disabled Sports USA and VA and military therapeutic professionals. If you are interested in attending and fall outside one of these categories, please contact dsargent@dsusa.org for more information.
