Adapt2Achieve: Golf

Does your organization run an adaptive golf program? Do you use golf as a form of recreation therapy for your patients with disabilities? Whether you are an experienced service provider or just starting out, this conference will teach you the ins and outs of adaptive golf– from methods and adaptations, to the nuts and bolts of organizing an adaptive golf program. Thanks to hands-on instruction from industry leaders, you’ll learn how to safely and successfully use adaptive golf for therapy, sport, and fun.
Who: Chapters of Disabled Sports USA, VA and military therapeutic professionals, and other members of the adaptive sports industry serving veterans. Registration is first-come, first-serve and limited to 50 individuals.
What: Two full days of hands-on adaptive golf training from some of the nation’s best adaptive golf professionals.  Click here for schedule and session descriptions.
Where: All conference sessions will take place at the Fort Belvoir Golf Club in Fort Belvoir, VA . Participants will be staying a few miles from the golf course at the Hilton Springfield. Lodging and meals are included with registration.
When: Attendees will arrive on Tuesday, September 15. for a welcome reception. Conference sessions will take place on Wednesday, September 15 and Thursday, September 17, with participants departing either Thursday evening or Friday morning. Airport shuttles will be provided to both Washington National Airport (DCA) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) on Tuesday, September 15 at 4:00pm, Thursday, September 17 at 5:00pm, and Friday, September 18 at 7:00am.
Fees: The Adapt2Achieve conference series is offered free of charge to chapters of Disabled Sports USA, VA and military therapeutic professionals, and any individual who serves disabled veterans through a nonprofit community organization.
