U.S. Paralympics Gateway to Gold Ambulatory Track & Field Talent Identification Clinic will take place on Sunday, April 27 from 9:00am-1:30pm at Elk Grove High School, 500 W. Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. This clinic is for individuals who compete on an ambulatory basis that have a physical or visual impairment including youth, adults, and military veterans, with hopes of identifying hopefuls for future U.S. Paralympic Teams. This clinic will provide the opportunity to speak with elite level coaches and athletes, learn training techniques, and test a variety of ambulatory track and field skills. Presenters include: David Prince – Bronze Medal Winner: 2012 London Games, Gold Medalist: 2011 Para-Pan American Games in the 200, 400, Silver Medal 100M, Gold Medalist: 2010 US Paralympic National Championships; David Greig – ChPC National Coach, Talent Development, Para-Athletics, (Athletic Canada) Winner 2010 Para Development Coach Award; Erica Wheeler – US Paralympic Track & Field Throws Coach; Teresa Skinner – Para Sports Spokane Executive Director, US Paralympic Track & Field Coach.
