What is “Sitting Volleyball”?
Sitting volleyball is a popular paralympic sport, especially for athletes who may be affected by amputation (of arm or leg), major knee tears, polio, knee or hip replacements, spina bifida, lack of balance or major muscle loss that limits their ability to play the game of volleyball standing up. All are welcome to play; disabled and able bodied, men and women. age 14 and above. Sitting volleyball puts all players together on a level playing field and brings individuals together to play an enjoyable sport without limiting anyone’s abilities.
